Public libraries are places where the community comes together in curiosity — telling stories, sharing skills, and pursing a life-long love of learning. And LibrariesSA, the state’s 130-strong network of libraries, is their fiercest advocate.

In early June, NATION citizens Ben and Alice presented at the Public Libraries South Australia (PLSA) conference, sharing a sneak peek of our LibrariesSA brand development work to a room of public library staff.

We invited the audience into our strategic creativity approach, showcasing the rigorous research, insight gathering, and client collaboration that laid the foundations for such a resonant and distinctive brand identity.

These findings echoed the collective knowledge in the room — that libraries have evolved from what they were. No longer places of shushing and quiet reading, today they are vibrant hubs of community offering creative classes, engaging events, and the multi-media collections to rival paid streaming subscriptions. This almost unfathomable value is accessible through a free library card; all anyone has to do is seek it.

Keep an eye out for the new brand, launching to the public this October.
