Introduction

For 12 days and nights each June, performers and punters gather to let down their hair, kick up their heels and have a guaranteed good time. For four years, we’ve helped our city host its most raucous party of the year — Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

Inciting Delicious Revolution.

If cabaret comes from the French for small room, Reuben Kaye’s takes the form of a heaving Berlin club basement. Visceral, debaucherous, raw, and urgent — the 2026 festival’s theme was a celebration against the chaos unfolding in the real world, bathed in red haze and wet with sweat.

2025: Bling it on.

When the festival turned 25 in 2025, Artistic Director Virginia Gay wanted the celebration to sparkle with all the glitter confetti it deserved. With a cast of performers, we let loose inside Her Majesty’s Theatre, where everything they touched turned to pure celebration.

2024: Soak it in.

In Virginia Gay’s Artistic Director debut, we created a bath of bubbles to symbolise the sensory drenching of a cabaret show. The golden tub and frothing Champagne bottles became central festival motifs — used by a whole cast of mischief makers on stage and off.

2023: Go all out.

Our first year’s partnership with Adelaide Cabaret Festival made a pure, unapologetic statement.
We embodied the free-spirited feeling of the festival and paired it with a dare of a call to action. The campaign attracted 50,000 ticketholders, showing that when it comes to cabaret, there’s no such thing as OTT.
