Introduction

For 12 days and nights each June, performers and punters alike are invited to let down their hair, kick up their heels and have a guaranteed good time. It's our city's cheekiest party of the year — Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

A festival in full swing.

In 2023, Adelaide Cabaret Festival was celebrating a major milestone — 50 years of Adelaide Festival Centre. To instil FOMO in a younger demographic, we gave audiences a glimpse of the wildest party ever, making them want to buy their very own golden ticket. Set to a brave electro swing track that brought together brass and bass, our feel-good TVC showcased a flamboyant merrymaker swinging from the chandelier. Paired with the dare to 'Go all out', the campaign drew 50,000 ticket holders through theatre doors. And, patrons couldn’t stay away, with a 33% increase in multi-show purchases.

Soak it in.

In 2024, we continued the chaos with 'Soak it in', using a bath of Champagne to represent the sensory drenching of seeing a cabaret show. Just as our chandelier did the year before, our golden bathtub became a central festival motif — used by a whole cast of mischief makers on stage and off, leaving attendees dripping with delight as they walked out the door.
