A scarily successful event.
The scariest evening on the Googong calendar, ‘Boogong’ is the township’s annual Halloween event, designed to attract visitors for an evening of trick or treating, music and food. Strategically, the event also fits well with the community-centric focus of the Googong brand.
The launch the inaugural Boogong event began with a social media teaser campaign, which flowed into TV, radio and print.
In addition, a “Frightful Faces” competition drove social engagement by inviting people to share their Halloween make-up and costumes on social media via #boogong.
With an attendance of over 7,000 people, the event created significant exposure for the brand. It captured the essence of Googong in a unique, fun and safe family event.
The event also generated thousands of social media engagements and over 100kg of lollies were given away to trick or treaters!
